The classes run from 10 am-5 pm with a break for lunch. Bag lunches can be kept cold on-site, or there are a few restaurants and a deli about 10 minutes away if people prefer to go out and grab food. The intro class covers the basic fundamentals of flameworking solid glass. No torch experience is necessary. Ages 12 and up are welcome, and group classes specifically for kids can be arranged. Students will each have an opportunity to make a small clear glass Teddy Bear that they can take home with them at the end of class. There are 5 spots maximum for each class, and classes are held on the 1st Saturday of each month. Sean offers a series of 5 intro classes that teach the basics of pendants and marbles, hollow work, and gold and silver fuming so there are plenty of opportunities for students to come back and learn enough to begin flameworking as a hobby. Also available is bench rental including entry-level torches and tools for $35 per day or $150 for a 5-day punch card with no expiration date.
